putting a picture of a brick wall on the tv when there’s one like 5 feet away is crazy

The whole “older” argument starts to lose its value once the younger person has a fully developed brain and the question being discussed is not relevant to life experience

You have to acknowledge the value of experience. A parent knowing more than a child is not much different than a college student knowing better than a 5th grader - on some things.

Ofc in some cases, yes the older person does have more life experience, but if a 5th grader who has been getting bullied all their life is trying to explain the impacts of bullying on themselves or others and the older(never bullied) person tries to tell them they know better about what it’s like to be bullied, “being older” falls off lol

Yess! And also sometimes fifth graders genuinely do know more than you and you should check their claims before dismissing them completely? Like I’m thinking about when they were still teaching “your blood is blue until it leaves your veins” type stuff, there would be kids in my classes who would KNOW it was wrong and would spend a ton of time trying to prove their point, right? But no matter what the teacher would pull the “I’m the authority you’re wrong” even w/ evidence we were right lol

Yep. Given the state of the country today, there are 6 year olds who I would trust with information more than certain *cough cough* americans
