kinda like how fics are beta read! ao3 is now out of the open beta testing phase almost a decade after creation. i’ve grown up with that beta by the side i feel so bittersweet abt it lowkey

Wait I’m so confused what’s beta testing Ive only recently started to use AO3 like a couple months ago so I’m confused😭 I used to be a wattpad girlie who didn’t even know what ao3 was

Software under early development, prior to a full release, is in beta. Ao3 has been considered to be in an “unfinished” state for years.
