what do i do: someone bookmarked my story and said: “her blond hair turns white!” (this is an xreader story where “she” has no described appearance ANYWHERE.) so they are straight up wrong. no mention of blond colored hair and it’s a public bookmark.
maybe it’s an inside joke or reference? though it being a public bookmark is a little puzzling

is this not a big deal? idk why i feel annoyed. i just don’t want people to avoid the story because they think i made the reader some basic blond when i actually purposefully made her very nondescript so any race with any hair type and body type could read and feel comfortable.

ik! and it’s aggravating me. it’s a new user from only a month ago so idk if they’re just skimming and also doesn’t know basic etiquette😭

not sure if this is a comfort but i don’t tend to read peoples bookmark notes at all, or at least not before reading the story itself, so this wouldn’t turn me away. i could be an outlier though

yeah that’s true…, i didn’t either until recently. but i feel disproportionately aggravated at this. the only blond person in the story is the love interest gahahhhhhhhh so wtf are they talking about. thank you though for trying to console me lol

does the blonde love interest get shocked or frightened by anything and/or get older in your fic? bc someone’s hair turning white could symbolize sudden fear or aging, and it could be a way of playfully describing that (w the use of “her” being the playful part)

no, nothing like that. the readers undescribed hair UP UNTIL CHAP 6 has a streak fade from magic overuse. but the reader was never mentioned as being blond, which is what the public bookmark said😔

and the love interest that is blond is a boy, so there can’t be any confusion there
