Miscommunication trope but the miscommunication doesn’t come from poor communication between the partners, but extenuating circumstances of the story (ex: long distance phone call gets cut off at an important part of the conversation)

Picture this: Character A has had a bad day and snapped at Character B unintentionally. A tries to apologize immediately but something important to the plot happens before they even open their mouth. The next few days A keeps trying to get B alone to apologize but stuff keeps happening, all the while B thinks A hates them. A gets fed up, drags B into the nearest room with a lock on it, and finally apologizes for snapping. B asks if this means A doesn’t hate them, A confesses feelings, B
