yeah it just baffles me because like if you’ve ever ready anything in english you’d see punctuation used in quotations…like i get it if it’s a language barrier thing/diff first language with diff rules but otherwise howww do we not know this 😭

no worries and tbh i think that like, ...even if you read something, if you're not more consciously and reading for understanding (whether that be for syntactical rules or just in general) you probably just won't learn much 😭 it does feel like a pretty basic and easy to grasp rule but who knows. i have trouble blaming people more directly because i know our schools can be quite bad about teaching people how to write 😪
