So I was reading a fanfic and there were a few errors in the show’s lore and characters. Didn’t pay it any mind since we’re all human and make mistakes. I finished reading it and the author’s note was “I asked ChatGPT to write this” - DON’T DO THIS

Like I get I can’t stop people from doing it but the problem is if they’re lazy and don’t care enough to write it then they also don’t care enough to tag it so I could at least avoid it

You could try and report it for improper tagging if it isn’t tagged but that’s a long shot, and ao3 is volunteer run so it takes out of someone’s physical time to review it. Leave a comment asking the author to tag ai use

You report them for improper tagging. AI use is not against TOS.

#3 you’re right, i checked and i think i conflated banning ai csam + banning scraping works for commercial ai with banning all ai works

#2 if you scroll to the bottom of any ao3 page there should be a contact us column with the link “policy questions & abuse reports” you can go there to report something

Yes, and the reason that I cautioned against reporting it for that was because spam reporting will also be a violation of terms of service
