I’ve had the same feeling and honestly the more I learn about history that more idc about historically accuracy in fiction. Worst case just make like a fantasy world analog like people do for royalty aus and shit

I just googled the mechanics of w*terboarding and whether it’s considered a war crime… can’t get much worse 😭 someone did that on one of my fics but honestly I just had to remind myself that it’s THEM being extremely picky
