Personal dilemma: should I comment on a non-native English speaker’s fic that contractions (like I’m or it’s) are extremely common in conversations? I’m leaning towards no, but I’m a bit conflicted

I mean it’s constructive criticism not outright bashing

I’ve had a lot of friends who have English as a second language and they ALWAYS preferred I told them if they made a mistake in English because they didn’t want to keep making it. I don’t feel like it’s my place to comment on, but I wonder if I’m valuing my own ease over being supportive in a constructive way

Thank you so much for your input! This is a good point. I think this week I’ll brain storm a sentence or two I can have written that I can add to my regular comments. Then I can make sure it sounds supportive and gives the info clearly
