HOWEVER i’ve seen some great non-sexual interpretations of it, my fav being platonic pack bonding as a social norm similar to a friend groups and an amazing fic that used a delayed presentation as an allegory for delayed self-maturation and the alienation one feels from their peers when that happens …. the latter really got me KSBFJDJSJ
