tbh i think theres a real correlation there bc the best fics come from source material w some good ideas but bad execution (think hp or twilight) but rlly good source material doesnt always have great fics bc theres not as much to fix

You’re on to something here. Some of my fics that are based around a fandom from a badly executed source material are my favorite because the fics fix something from the source material.
