I joined a big writing event thing and was so excited to get to work on a new fic idea but then people started criticizing how the admins were doing it and everything got pushed back weeks and rearranged and it’s not fun anymore, we haven’t even started

I lost all motivation to write but when we do eventually start, people will be counting on me :( everything about how this event was handled just pissed me off and even before then, I just felt so awkward since so many people recognized a lot of others for being popular in the fandom but I was so new and knew no one so aaaaa it’s so easy to kill off any hype I might’ve had for writing

basically people complaining about not liking something and instead of keeping it to themselves and just disengaging they make it the creator’s problem

Ah okay yeah I agree. We’re in a server dedicated to one ship and apparently someone else brought up a different ship that they liked and it started a whole annoying thing too, and another time of telling an author that their idea was too OOC to be enjoyable :/ it’s just a group of people who can’t mind their own business
