The misogyny is too strong in some of these fandoms. Why do I have more comments on my fic dogging on a classic “evil stepmother” than the literal canonical rapists and pedos?? Guys there are worse people in here

large amount is misogyny for sure, but part of it is also that people are more likely to have personally dealt with a mean parent than a truly evil person, which makes it feel more real to them

That’s fair, but tbh this fandom is known for how ur treats the female actors and characters in the books/shows :( which is a bummer considering it revolutionised how women are seen in the fantasy genre
