I feel like that’s so unfair!! like I kinda get it but it’s still reading, I regularly read books longer than most novels even if they are fanfics. I’m so close to just sending an excerpt of a fanfic I’m reading but changing the names and saying “this is a good book” and making them read it and then say it’s fanfic. not real books my ass. little do they know their daughter writes fics…
