I respect the hell out of people who outline, but if I do it in my head I’ve basically written the story, so I lose the passion for it😭😭 Can’t be doing that shit

I used to do it in document but I get so distracted by formatting that it becomes more trouble than it’s worth. However, when planning research-heavy fics, documents are good for inserting facts and ideas wherever

i only started doing it to keep things straight for my longfic, it’s actually helpful but I have to be in the mood to do it, and even then i stray from it a lot or write it after the fact it’s better if i need to get some ideas down for how to get from point a to point b
