I just read an amazing TMNT fic with this concept where it’s a highschool au that suddenly got apocalyptic (due to multiverse meddling by others) so the highschoolers are being constantly saved by ‘weird ninja alternate versions’ of themselves and it’s both the funniest and saddest thing I’ve ever read.
