I have stories I have waited over a year (longer for a couple) to be updated and let me tell you I eat those updates up the second they come out. I go “My rare author updated! I’m gonna eat good tonight I love their writing” and then I rejoice and possibly reread the whole fic as well bc I’m reminded of how much I love it
