Instance. And I see this (for obvious reasons) most in enemies to lover fics where the enemy is the main antagonist of the series and the woman was a side character that becomes the new antagonist in the fic. Not saying misogyny is the ONLY reason, just saying it’s a little stinky (Also, saying this as a great lover of shipping the main antag with people. Not judging anything but the sexism)
