I can’t believed the argument between Louis and Lestat in TVL episode 2 wasn’t gonna be heard, it was going to be covered by Lestat’s narration- until Rolin Jones realized it was the best thing he’d ever written

It’s one of the few adaptations that I feel like is better than the source material and makes choices that make the story so much more complex. Like Louis in the book is a white plantation owner, while Louis in the show is a gay black man in the segregated South whose turn to vampirism connects with his feelings of being an outsider
