this one’s not doomed, but there’s some angst in it, but I read it recently and thought it was really good

“Thoroughfare” by asoftkiss on AO3 is one of my favorite fics I’ve ever read. It’s Ellie Williams/OC, set after the events of TLOU Part 2. It’s dark, inspired by southern gothic themes, and is extremely well written. The OC is actually quite charming and likable, with flaws and vices of her own. It has a gripping and chilling ending. I can’t recommend this fic enough.
