Never have I ever (as an author) cared about the cadence of a comment unless the person is rude lol. The ones that do have to have some type of insecurity they’re projecting

you’ve got to be entitled to complain about short comments, I know for me at least i’m just happy to see that little email saying someone commented (even if I don’t always reply)

exception to this is scam comments, rude comments, and people randomly coming in your comments to pick fights with another commenter out of nowhere without even reading the fic just finding that commenter on a random chapter and attacking them
