Correct nursing procedures and what common procedures feel like because I’m a newly graduated nurse and I want my readers to know what’s going on in the hospital if they ever go

Like how important (but seemingly redundant) it is that the care team (doc, nurse, tech) asks for two patient identifiers (usually name and date of birth) before any interaction even if they know the patient to make sure there isn’t a mistake like a medication error

Or what it feels like to get a saline flush and those sensations are normal and expected (Aka smelling or tasting copper or sea water)

Like, I was in the hospital a lot as a kid due to illness and not once did someone ever explain to me what was going on like they had us do in nursing school. I want my readers to be armed with the knowledge that I didn’t have
