Does anyone else prefer writing in a notebook as a draft and then editing it as you copy to digital? It’s a habit I picked up in middle school before schools had laptops for students where you can just vibe and write in another tab.

I used to write in history class and rush home and copy to Wattpad

I like writing in a notebook if I’m struggling coming up with ideas of where to go next or want to plot out the next chapters bc the ideas come better (speaking of, I need to add more to the outline in my notebook since I abandoned my digital outline)

My ADHD requires me to use a laptop so I can go back and forth between lines, add stuff in the middle of the story, etc

Why are digital outlines and digital in general so hard to get like words flowing with? With a pen it basically comes naturally.

no clue, maybe it’s smth to do with actually writing the words instead of hitting buttons on a keyboard?? but yeah it’s way easier (unless I get into a good groove and the ideas are just coming) to do it on paper with a pen/pencil

My adhd does the opposite lol. Laptop means I can open other tabs and do other things. Notebook means I can’t do other things without the effort of pulling out something else
