In fact depending on how it’s written it’s not even allyship it can be straight up homophobia if it’s just sexualization without humanization (from a frustrated mlm reader)

As a mildly fem bottom myself I don’t always mind it because it makes the character relatable, but I also get weirded out because like… we’re still men. Just because I happen to be a bottom, a twink, and I like protective men doesn’t suddenly make my relationship heterosexual. At the end of the day I’m still a man and I still usually dress and behave in a masc way. Me being a bottom doesn’t make me a woman, it makes me a man who likes dick
