Just start writing shit fr. It doesn’t have to be good, it can be fukin bullet points or whatever, if it sparks joy it sparks joy. Don’t write for perfection or for others approval. Enjoy it, if you want to post it Someone will like it pretty much regardless. Write the story you want to read. Then read your own fics.
Write one shots/short stories. Don’t jump into the deep end just yet with multi-chapter series. One shots/short stories build up that routine and practice. Secondly, keep telling yourself this is fanfic, this is a hobby, there is no “good” or “bad” because it is all just for fun/to pass time/ write to write/ expressing emotions, ideas, concepts. Lastly, I recommend finding people you can talk about the fanfic with whether they’re in the fandom or not to hype yourself up!
honestly just have fun. You want to write because there’s a story you want to tell, so tell it. Don’t worry about how good it is or how other people will take it. Also, embrace the fact that writing is a skill you can only develop by writing. Everyone starts somewhere and honestly fanfiction is amazing for that bc there’s not much judgement.
but for a more practical tip…I personally like to make a bullet pointed list of things I want to put into a story before and while I’m writing it. Mostly so I don’t forget anything but also it always helps me develop the story. It can be character traits or themes or ideas for scenes or even just some dialogue.
