no bc i’ve read some absolute slop fics that are M/M and some of the best fics that are F/F or gen and especially narratively? gen fics are almost always best for that, maybe there’s a background ship or something but it’s not just two guys the reader thinks are hot fucking each other for 10,000 words

This is actually so real, if you think there’s a stark difference of quality between a bunch of different writers and fic tropes because of the pairing only, you’re probably just overly biased over the pairing which isn’t immediately bad but sure is weird when it’s specifically a queer type of pairing
