If you’re pro “ao3 should not allow problematic/illegal ships” I’m gunna hold your hand and say that will literally never happen. Ao3 was created so someone could read Winchester brothers banging each other. Anti-censorship is core to the entire website

What killed me was their complete lack of understanding of the word censorship. “Oh we shouldn’t delete fics but don’t let people add any more problematic ones” that IS censorship, love. I get so fucking heated about this topic lol

It wasn’t a productive use of their time at all; just saying what they believed but not actually addressing anything people were saying. That’s not a debate, that’s you ignoring the input of others and using the platform as a damn mouthpiece. It’s also usually pretty clear when someone wants to have a constructive conversation; this person was never going to try and get anything out of what people were saying, other than “wow, how could they condone rape/incest/etc. and not ban it?”
