A large scale fraud was uncovered in my league yesterday. One of the semi finalists noticed Cody Parkinson had been in the lineup of someone in the other matchup at game time but some time between the end of TNF and when he woke up he had been benched……

He brought this to the attention of the league and Parkinson was mysteriously put back into the lineup without the guy saying a word. The same guy who brought it up then said he thought the cheater had done the same thing with Mike Evans the week before in the first round- which was against me and knocked me out. Turns out it wasn’t just Evans he changed last week but Theo Johnson, Tony Pollard, and Jacoby Brissett as well, which gave him 46 more points than he should’ve had.

Now, he was able to do this because as the league creator, he still had league manager powers despite being stripped of his commissioner title this offseason for pushing a trade through for himself before the review period elapsed because it wouldn’t have gone through before game time. However, ESPN league creators retain permanent league manager powers, even if someone else is designated as LM

The new commissioner undertook an investigation and found that on at least two occasions, he had altered his lineup to flip a result. These results were nullified, and as a result he missed the playoffs. Thankfully, the guy who moved up a seed and the guy who made the playoffs instead both still lost so we didn’t have to worry about that being a clusterfuck. But we will be dissolving the league and starting anew without him. Fin.
