i am attending college rn in a town without any friends or acquaintances from my hometown. it’s liberating and in a way, has opened so many opportunities for me socially. there are times when i do feel lonely and that i am missing out when i see friends from college and my hometown doing things but, i enjoy it a lot. i have been able to explore myself and make a new life for myself. i would just recommend making an effort to really explore your new area(s) and be open to meeting ppl
