I’m not sure if this really belongs here but, I just lost my cat a few days ago and why whole world view is completely shattered. I used to be agnostic but now I’m not sure…

I don’t really believe there’s a heaven let alone an animal heaven (is mouse hell cat heaven?), but how can he truly be gone? Every thing he once was where does that go? A part of be used to think after death there’s nothing but it hurts to think that he’s completely, wholly gone

The pain of losing a pet hurt my soul too. I believe that both you and your cat are loved by Jesus. He died on the cross for you because He loved you so much. So I imagine taking care of your cat in heaven until you get there is a piece of cake. I hope you know Jesus is waiting for you to believe in Him too!

At minimum, the love you have for him and memories of him are not gone, so he can’t be all the way gone, either. His body isn’t here anymore, but you still love him and that’s worth a lot

My favorite thing in the whole world died limp in my arms, I saw the life leave his eyes as he stared into nothing. The Bible explicitly states that only human souls return to god (Ecclesiastes 3:19) and you’re telling me that I’ll go to heaven on the condition I believe in Jesus?
