my friends don’t have a car so i’m usually the one who drives us around. recently another friend got a car and said she’d offer to drive us so it’s not just me always. i don’t mind driving bcs it’s usually short distances, and i don’t ask for gas either..

sorry part 2. this friend has only driven us around maybe twice this entire summer, and the driving usually still ends up on me. again i don’t mind driving it’s just a little annoying when she said she’d be able to drive us during the summer too but she. just doesn’t do it

It’s common courtesy to give gas money if someone is always driving you around, especially if you have to pick up and drop everyone off. You should subtly ask for it. Unless they’re more broke than you, if they have jobs, that’s just taking advantage of you. Like just be upfront and say that the gas really does add up!!

I agree with this or bring up her car and just ask “ can we take your car this time” the more you do that the more it will untrain that reliance on you
