I burned a bridge pretty bad.. I wouldn’t forgive them if they did it to me. So I shouldn’t reach out to apologize. Right? Even if I think I have a good excuse ? But again.. it’s an excuse.
You can, and probably should apologize if you think it’s that bad, but don’t expect reconciliation. You should ask for forgiveness for yourself, not to make the injured person feel like they have to restore your relationship

Definitely apologize, but make it clear that you’re apologizing because you realize that you messed up and are trying to take accountability, not to make yourself feel better or looking for them to accept it.
