Trial and error OP, that’s all you really can do. For every 100 jerks and frauds in a room there is a real person waiting in the room next door. Finding friends is great, but finding true, honest, and loyal ones is a luxury. As much as people hate hearing it, be yourself. Don’t be a people pleaser and try joining activities that involve possible passions or hobbies you like. Those girls were jerks OP, I know you can find better! Hope this helps and don’t give up, you’ll find your crowd soon!
