
what's helped me: SKIP THE SMALL TALK. BE BOLD. SAY WHAT U RLLY FEEL. example: i'll just go up to someone and be like "omg i love that band i went to their show" and they say something about it too and it starts a convo and potentially a friendship. it's scary yes but it's not impossible :)
I’m in the same boat as you. I’m a freshman, and I’ve always struggled socially due to social anxiety, but it’s especially bad here. I just feel completely, totally, and utterly alone. I try to be myself, but I just feel like no one likes me. It might just be that everyone I’ve met so far is too surface level like you were saying. I feel legitimately depressed. I wish I had advice, but I signed up for YikYak to get some myself.
