Don’t rush to ‘get over’ things. Give yourself permission to feel the full weight of what you’re going through, but don’t confuse the feeling with your identity. You’re allowed to have hard days without deciding that your whole life is hard. Healing isn’t a straight line it’s a series of small recalibrations, and every one of them counts.

Don’t beat yourself up over him not being able to mentally digest an argument unless you really said some hurtful things. Then try and get you both closure

there are definitely mistakes ive made in those arguments but we both have and i thought we’d gotten past it. we had a wonderful relationship and it felt like he really saw me and we truly loved each other. he literally broke up w me out of nowhere

Breakups sadly don’t come out of nowhere. Little things build up over time until it’s just too much to ignore anymore. He probably needs good therapy.
