It’s not just the prices. Some of there policy changes have been insane too. For starters: removing features to allow for easy sharing of games between family members. Next, all switch 2 games will not be purchased, but instead purchased as licenses. The BIG one: implementing a policy change that makes it so you 1. Can’t sue nintendo and 2. Are subject to a rule that says Nintendo can remotely PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN YOUR DEVICE.

Okay but like are there any actually decent gaming companies nowadays? Or do they all overcharge for their games, sell DLC that should’ve been base game, charge for online services, etc. Not saying this excuse Nintendo but be so for real. Half of the complaints against them can just as easily be made against any other company.

I ordered the retroid pocket and going start getting into emulators just because of this. Retroid pocket 4 pro or the Odin 2 are much more cost efficient compared to a Steam Deck and runs just as good

I highly recommend, it’s been nothing but great for me. Been playing GTA IV, Balatro, Black Ops 2, and a bunch of other games ready to go when I want to play them. All run well. Getting PS Remote Play to work was also surprisingly easy and is really nice.

That’s what I was thinking too. Back in the day it was as simple as just buy the game and get the perks, now you have to buy a pass to even play online/with friends. I think that’s when the gaming industry truly got greedy

The only way to opt out of these changes to policy is by sending paper mail to Nintendo within 30 days of them announcing this policy change, and is reviewed on a case by case basis as to whether or not your reason to opt out of Nintendo being able to REMOTELY AND PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN THE DEVICE AND GAMES YOU PAID FOR is adequate. 😄😄😄😄😄

They are making their games $80-$90 dollars and making it so you only get a license to play the game when you buy them, so you won’t even have the rights to actually “own” the game and they would be able to take it away whenever. Same for the console so they could turn off your console if you break the user agreement and jailbreak your switch 2 or something

just take the time to look up the horrible things they have done. in 2020 it was leaked from internal documents nintendo stalking neimod, the person who cracked the 3DS. they mapped out his daily routine, and created a flowchart of how to confront him. Just one of the MANY UNETHICAL things theyve done. not only do they do crazy weird shit to individuals, they also do things like charge $80 for physical games that aren’t actually physical games. their new physical games are actually just a key
