I feel like learning to Seperate the art from the artist is a conversation we gotta have highkeyOmori sucks ass regardless. Walking simulator with generic turn-based combat. You know a game is shit when the only difference between the tutorial enemy and the final boss is just how many times you have to do the same thing before the fight ends. I remember that fucking dumbass whale fight where you literally just sit there spamming attack for like fifteen real world minutes because it has like seven phases and they’re all just the same thing with more health.
The worst part is, the gameplay is still somehow the best part of the game - given the story would feel right at home on the creepypasta wiki. I’m not gonna spoil anything, cause that’s fucked - but when they actually started using “le freaking spooky hyper realistic graphics” I burst out laughing. Every time this game tries to be sad it comes across as unearned and every time it tries to be scary it comes across as edgy and insufferable - that bit with the cat for example? Fucking dumb.
