Digital games aren’t physical products either, bud. It doesn’t matter if you pay for it. You’re using it, even though it “can be taken away from you” at any time. You can play them until they degrade, you mean. Digital files have no degradation whatsoever.

Microsoft and Sony keep prices low because they earn the majority of their actual operating profit from subscription services and accessories. Consoles are sold at a loss.
