I’m scared for gta. I worry it will be microtransactions through the roof once online comes out. And I fear the story will suck bc everyone from gta 5 and rdr2 left

Honestly as long as the micro transactions are just like optional things that remove a bit of grinding (like gta 5 shark cards) I won’t have a problem with that… now if they start putting weapons, vehicles, properties, or even cosmetics (cough cough gta+), then I feel like anger will be warranted

Honestly worried because of how they nerfed the heist payouts in 5 just recently. They honestly had no reason to do that. Hopefully it’ll only be shark cards that will be sold in 6.

I agree. I do worry though that if they skew the prices so much that it takes like 50 hours just to afford a car it could be bad

tbh I'd like it if money was harder to come by in Online but that goes out the window if they're also selling money for real dollars (which they definitely will). I loved early GTAV online when seeing someone with a supercar or their own helicopter was actually pretty rare

Idk I liked being able to by a lot of cars. I mean thankfully I never bought money but I was able to earn enough from the missions to yk get stuff

I also like collecting cars, but I’d rather make less money and prices be more realistic than it is rn… with everything so inflated. Also I hate how militarized the game has gotten. I mean I love military kit, equipment, and vehicles, but some random mob boss owning 2 F-35s makes absolutely no sense… or a sci-fi flying motorcycle.

Imo if you want to “militarize” the game, it should be with things that actually make sense for a rich criminal leader to own (mraps, technicals, rpgs, modified civilian aircrafts with bombs essentially bolted onto em, hell I could even understand old APCs (cuz I think I’ve seen cartels use old APCs and old tanks)… but a polish prototype tank that only a couple were ever built? Nah man

The fact that the main story is DLC does not bode well for other items.

Idk. I feel like GTA has always been a very over the top sandbox style game and not really gone for realism. A player will get a lot more enjoyment from a fighter jet than a wooden drug submarine. More Fast X than 2 Fast 2 Furious.

The “over the top”ness was much more muted when the game came out. It just kinda crept up as things were added… kinda like how each Villian in DBZ has to be stronger than the next until it just gets so ridiculous it isn’t even enjoyable anymore. Idm fighter jets existing in the games (there are privately owned F-16s irl) but it’s objectivity dumb that the player can own a jet more advanced and modern than the military’s.

Plus, I referred to the oppressor mk2, which is a whole other level. The sci fi shit outside of random alien tech you can find has absolutely no place in the game. (Then you have the whole thing with rockstar adding vehicles and vehicle mods to specifically counter the problem they made) Basically imo, the militarization of online turned it from a goofy mmo you use to collect cars and do missions/races with friends into a battle royale with infinite respawns…

I haven’t played outside a private lobby in years whenever i occasionally hop on (before missions worked on private lobbies, I used to play exclusively on solo-public lobbies… just cuz I couldn’t stand normal online)

Doesn’t really matter though since The Contract is even easier and still pays out a million

Yeah, I agree. I never found them that intuitive in GTA V’s Online. Yeah things got more expensive but then you had stuff alongside it like easy passive income businesses and The Contract, which not only pays out one million but gives you access to 5 minute missions for $40k - $70k. And because it was promotion for Dre’s album, they made it super easy to do solo so everyone could experience it.
