he just already buys every meal for me when we go out together and will also get like energy drinks or snacks and stuff for me (including at least like 5-6 games) and i’m very conscientious of all of it 😭 i literally told him he’s not allowed to buy me any more games until we 100% every single game he’s already got me but he REALLY wants to get me isaac but i wont let him lmfao
It's not privilege, it's called working lol. I work 2 jobs and am a full time grad student. I also do DoorDash on the side when I can. $15 is not a lot of money no matter how you string it. And if you know it's unhealthy, you should probably take steps to fixing that way of thinking before it negatively affects your life
congrats money bags. i also work a job and im getting a second degree that’s draining me for everything i have. i cant even pay for groceries or a fucking parking pass. employment with good pay is a privilege. you are so naive to some people’s life circumstances and it shows. if you’re so well off, how about you flaunt your wealth and buy me the game yourself? matter of fact, buy everyone on this yy a game of their choice
Lmao drop your cashapp and I'll buy the game for you. And it's not affluence or wealth. It's called being a hardworker and being smart with your money. I've had a job since I was 16 years old. I don't come from money, I work hard to get money. I'm not naive. I live in HCOL area with lots of poor people and homelessness. I've volunteered in soup kitchens, you're preaching to choir. My whole thing is, if your bf pays for everything, then obviously he has money. $15 isn't going to break the bank
I really didn't mean for this to devolve into an argument, I was just saying with something so cheap and trivial such as a game, it doesn't make sense for you to not ask your bf. If he truly loves you then he won't care about you asking him to buy the game. Where you need to be concerned with money is for larger purchases. (E.g. house, car, rent, etc.). A $15 game is so small in the grander scheme of things when there are other things you should focus on strengthening in a relationship imo.
if you actually have seen poverty is like, i don’t understand why you would trivialize 15 dollars in a way like you did :/ just seemed very insensitive. also you’d know that asking for something you need is hard enough. but asking for something that’s completely unnecessary like a video game? nah. forget it
Right but you're not suffering from poverty if a video game is what you're concerned about, hence, why I "trivialized" $15 in your case. Additionally, since your bf already buys things for you, asking him for something that you and him both want shouldn't be some once-in-a-lifetime miracle request.
