Also the fact that things that ARE explained in game (basic game mechanics, items, etc.) are just in fucking RIDDLES so u don’t know what it actually does for your character?!? And the riddles are just gibberish so it doesn’t even add lore lol

I don't even like Elden Ring at all but this is a bad take. Games are more fun when you take the time and effort to learn systems yourself and figure it all out on your own. You get out what you put in

wtf did you have to look up for Elden ring? It’s literally the easiest and most accessible fromsoft game. You literally can’t mess it up.

I’d agree wholeheartedly if my dumbass didnt look stuff up only to realize the solution myself while typing it into google. Or seeing that the solution was stupidly simple and I was just being dumb and lazy

Like the shrine puzzle in breath of the wild where you literally just have to look at a chart on the wall and it tells you that you have to do that too

Everyone has their own opinion but that’s why this is a hot take hahaha — but idk it’s one thing to take the time to learn the systems… but there are some things in the game you will literally NEVER discover if you don’t take the time to research it OUTSIDE of the game 😭 which I think is dumb sorry

I am kind of a completionist with side quests/npc interactions and I rlly enjoy that aspect of RPG’s… a lot of these npc questlines can be messed up or missed permanently if you explore the wrong area first (which I think is so punishing for an open world game emphasizing exploration!)

Ok fair fromsoftware questlines are vague af but to call it a bad game because of that is kinda crazy. The main appeal of the game is that ur discovering everything for urself instead of it holding ur hand through questlines and where to go next

then play Skyrim where every quest NPC is invincible and everything in the game only happens when you make it happen. It really sounds like FromSoft games are not for you, which is fine, no game is for everyone.
