Opinion needed: Junior in college here, wondering if I should stop playing WoW. It brings a lot of nostalgic feelings for me, since I played it as a child and had to take a long break between ages of 11-18. Currently I play 1/12 months, during breaks

I mean, honestly, do you think it is? Personally, I think you can play a game and still hate the company that made it or whatever…. I guess like separating the art from the artist? But if you enjoy the game fully then yeah play it but if you don’t, then don’t play it.

To further specify, I do enjoy the game. I played Classic, mostly for exploration, auction work, and getting to the parts of the game that I didn’t enjoy as a kid because I didn’t understand them. But the one month I play, it consumes most of my time, thus preventing me to play other games. Rest of the year I am too busy to really sit down with anything. Is this worth it?

The caveat I see is that—Blizzard as a company has been very disrespectful of its played base to say the least. That is why I chose Classic over Retail. But even then, the way they let down the drain their other games, like OW (which I used to love and play a lot back in the day—retired Widow main here) is simply upsetting. They even have to merge my current WoW server with another one because of lack of players, it is a joke really.

Then play it, personally I despise blizzard but I still boot up Diablo 3 every once in a while just to duck around. I think it’s alright, but if you’re wanting to move on, then do.
