It’s fall time again, so I’m legally obligated not recommend that you all play one of my favorite games ever: Night In The Woods! Very cozy, very beautiful with a gorgeous soundtrack and a story that is equal parts funny and profoundly bittersweet.

It’s a game that is so authentically and honestly planted in its setting and themes, it GETS what it’s like to live and be trapped in a dying small town and you feel it in every part of it. It will never get old for me.

That’s so real, I lived in a bigger town so I never got close with all of the people around me so trying to get as many interactions as possible with bea and Greg made me realize the impact I could have on my relationships if I interacted with people more

On my first playthrough I was definitely a Bea person. I just think her route has a lot more emotional significance and the themes resonate more. Greg’s was good fun but most of it was just kinda dicking around in mini games and I feel like the emotional moments, while good, didn’t connect as much as Bea’s. She was the creators fav character and you can tell.

Wow that’s who I picked my first round too, I felt really bad for her sometimes

She’s easily the most sympathetic character of the bunch. If Greg represents someone who used to be immature and is finally growing up and getting a chance to move on to better things, Bea is someone who is so willing and ready to move on but is trapped. As someone who grew up in a small, dying town and has seen people get stuck in that same rut, it really resonates with me
