I’m playing on the Wii version, though. Okay so - somehow, the Dolphin emulator recognizes my pro controller’s gyroscope? So it uses that for the Wii remote motion controls. I’ve remapped buttons for both the wii remote and the nunchuck, but… think about it. What motion controls in the nunchuck DO you need to play twilight princess?

You need the ability to thrust forward for a shield attack. That can be mapped to a button. And you need the ability to shake the nunchuck. Dolphin has a shake simulator. I’ve mapped it to a button.

OH, you also need sword slashes. I mapped dolphin’s Swing simulator to the right stick so it behaves like Skyward Sword HD fight controls

It was like a fun little puzzle to be honest, I quite enjoyed tinkering with the setup. Plus it taught me a lot about how dolphin itself operates and what it can do

It is SO EASY. Like literally do five minutes of research into emulation (download and install dolphin, go to r/roms to find the master list, run everything through an antivirus to be 100% sure) and you’ll be up and running. I was like “there’s no way it’s that simple” and it was

I already have my dolphin emulator all set up on my pc I’ve done this before it’s so fun I gotta re install in on my new pc it’s been a while. Do you enjoy skyward sword as well?

Fair I just had a GameCube controller from my grandma and a adapter so I was like fuck it we ball. Tho I may use the new GameCube controller Nintendo just released if I can on dolphin.

The gamecube I have access to still works a dream, so I just run Twilight Princess on that rn, but eventually I will probably need to learn how to use emulators 😔
