Hot take, I like when art actually looks like art. Good graphics don’t need to mean the game has to have hyper realistic computer melting graphics with uncanny faces and everything, you can make it look pretty.
Idk about shorter games, but i definetly feel the graphics don’t always need to be so good I can count Norman reedus’s nose hairs

Give me stylization or give me death. This dichotomy between most games either being Diet Grimdark or Diet Fortnite is like the Corpporate Memphis of gaming

I like a shorter experience, but having games not be expected to be stuffed to the fucking brim with 90+ hours of grindy side quests and busywork helps to both streamline the good shit and cut down on crunch time for devs

I mean, there’s a difference between quality content and filler. BG3’s a longass game but none of it’s busywork.

True, but have you seen how the endgame of BG3 turns out? The final chapters of that game are pretty damn rough compared to the first few. BG3 is excellent but at a certain point, length can stretch the quality of a project real thin

Oooh ok that’s what you mean, let me rephrase, I’m fine with the main story being like 12 hours to complete tops, but it’s really nice when there’s extra optional stuff to do. Helps me feel like the 70 dollar price tag is actually worth it.
