shit like this pisses me off so bad, we see it every damn day. it feels like 95% of gaming news now is just "(sequel game) will take 30 years to develop. it has a budget of 5 trillion dollars"

"but the investors" i dont give a fuck. dont tell me anything about the game unless you have a trailer to show focused on either gameplay or plot. no, not one of those fucking 10-20 second teasers that has 2-5 shots of the main character(s) just to show how many pores you can count on their face

generally true that game budgets are getting tremendously bloated but this post is literally just someone guessing

Because major games like these require over a thousand of developers, multiple studios and multiple years of development, that’s not cheap. Also their busy working on the new Witcher game

tomb raider catalyst did it right. trailer dropped late 2025 for a game releasing in 2027, trailer showed possible gameplay segments and some small plot elements without spoiling anything. THAT is how its done

respectfully you took what i said in extremely bad faith & did not read my replies lol i dont even play cyberpunk, im not saying they should rush it, all im saying is, IN MY OPINION, we dont need to know about it yet lmao. i am only talking about marketing here. let the artists & devs take as much time as they need fr, its just goofy as hell to be talking about the concept of a game's existence so early

thats another reason announcing games this early sucks, devs are forced by greedy ass companies to crunch to have it done by a deadline that no one could have known was unrealistic in the first place

Right the fanboys harass CDPR on every platform possible hounding for info which is why we end up with ish like this being posted. Almost as bad as that Elder Scrolls 6 teaser from Bethesda like 10 years ago lmao

oh ok i thought you were dogging on me cuz of that LMAO youre right, its genuinely ridiculous the lengths people will go to for info. ppl need to learn to appreciate what they have in the present for their favorite franchises & explore other games instead of being so goddamn greedy all the time

If they cut the budget and time you’ll complain it’s smaller than the first game

didnt read anything else i said. they should take as long as they need i just think its goofy af for us to know so soon. aside from the fact that its annoying from an outside perspective, it creates so much unnecessary pressure for the devs also, i think the standards for realism nowadays in games are crazy and contribute to execs forcing their developers to crunch
