i have to agree tbh. prior to my ex i didnt care at all about porn - but what i soon realized is that it is engrained and normalized for so many men that even the ‘good ones’ who watch it will unintentionally objectify women. people only think of the extremes - but even subtly it perpetuates objectified ideas because its partially normalized.
not saying i disagree, but when does this become a “porn issue” rather than a “man issue” ? bcuz a lot of women watch it, and don’t see men as sex dolls. it’s men who can’t control themselves. it all falls back to them. idk i feel like that side of the convo always gets left behind (again, i agree, i just think it’s more complex than “porn is bad”)
i feel like people who consume porn especially on big sites like pornhub and only fans are typically men and without that demographic to support the porn industry it would no longer be a viable career for women and it would likely collapse in on itself especially things like onlyfans with specific content and specific people. But i do agree it’s a man issue
People falsely make it out like porn is sexual liberty but there are other dangers behind the porn industry that people don’t share such as sex trafficking, bad porn acts that encourage incest (makes me want to throw up), and treating women as a toy, and worse yet pedophlia it’s horrible
