So if it feels hard and hurts to touch, or can be moved, see a dr. If it’s BONE AND MUSCLE you have a neck hump and can be doing some exercises at home first before considering x ray work and PT or chiropractic work

Does it feel like a mass or just a bone protruding? It’s probably just a posture issue but if you’re feeling some weird stuff go back to the doc!

I was at the doctor last week and they didn’t say anything? But I wasn’t going for this bcos I’d never noticed this before. Do you think it’s something I need to schedule an additional appointment for or can it be addressed at my six week follow up?

Is this about the neck hump? You dont need a doctor for that

i would schedule another appointment. it could very well not be anything serious, but i wouldn’t take the risk of waiting to find out. especially if it wasn’t there before

It feels pretty much exactly the same way my shoulders feel where they have permanent knots from tension. Hard-ish and moveable-ish and pain-ish, but it’s like massage pain if that makes sense?

99% sure mine is caused by genetics since my mom, grandma, and aunts all have one

however, i do have a thyroid condition and they can be caused by hormonal imbalances! so my doctor assumes its a mix of both
