Like the amount of embarrassment *I* personally feel when people do it just completely tears me apart and makes me feel like I don’t want to interact with you anymore. I can feel the energy that you have now started to talk to me like I’m a 5 year old asking if I can play on your phone. Idk if you realize it but I do. And just because I am on the very high functioning level of autism and can’t grasp most social cues doesn’t mean I’m fucking stupid and can’t see you widen your eyes in realization

So when you get on social media and talk about “autism eyes” which is a real thing and something I can also clock, the difference is that I don’t stop thinking of that person as a human being
