As much as I hate what Trump is doing, we’ve been at war in the Middle East for the better past of the last 30 years, I hardly think world war is eminent just off of that

Obviously a small incident CAN turn into a larger war, but I don’t see this one doing that. Both world wars were preceded by tensions building between multiple powerful countries for quite a while that landed them on opposite sides of said small incident. Of course I could be wrong, but I don’t see that happening in this case. If the tariff wars in Europe or China had escalated to physical conflict that seems much more likely to start a world war to me
