i am 5-6+ months late on my period (i have a hormonal iud) and i believe a cyst on my left ovary that im getting an ultrasound for tomorrow

I have a cyst and it sucks but it’s definitely not the worst ailment to have imo, just moderately uncomfortable. I hope all goes well with the ultrasound!

My friend has the surgery. Hers was 4cm by 7cm by 8cm. She was in a significant amount of pain, and she said the surgery was simple but the pain immediately disappeared. She was very happy she did it. That being said, there is nothing to do to prevent that one from coming back or new ones from forming besides hormonal birth control (from my understanding). Talk with your doctor to see if there are other ways to prevent more. Wishing you the best!
